My walmart store here in Marion, OH, sucks, because there is no respect for Blacks that work for the company, they are being lied to on a daily bases by store manager, co-managers, and also managers of the store. They say that the open door policy is there in place, but when you talk to them nothing changes but everything stays the same. There were an associates that told another associate that "That she were dreaming because WalMart would never promote anybody black in the Marion, OH store to be over Whites and to tell them what to do." Also in another department a promotion did take place where a Black received a promotion or should I say a move up but was not given the same hours that the White person who had the same job worked. As we all know that this is a form of discrimentation. all of these things need to be looked into.
Well at my store they promote people who dont know the frontend and then we are doing the job promote the ones who know what thier doing or give us cashier a canhce. Iam a cashier who has appied for a csm postion and three times have been truned down and yet I CAN RUN do that job and have proved I can but they will not give it to me so as soon as I get out of school you can kiss my hinny on the way out and lose a great cashier.

well at my store they give a cart pusher a dept to run he has no exper. dosnt know anyhting about stocking ordering or anything they just threw him in frozen hes now our dept mgr lol the badge went straight to this guys head i used to work with him when i work on first and second shift hes got frozen all screwd up u cant hardly get into the freezer me and my dept mgr has watch him plug he leaves notes for his third shift crew witch i work right beside them im in dairy hes only got 2 ppl they have about 10 pallets each night meat and daily and bakery never come to get there stuff so the guys end up doing what they can he comes in in the morning ignores the one guy that knows what hes doin and works the stuff and doesnt plug and talks to the one that plugs then gets mad cause they didnt get all the stuff done and he doesnt care he aint got to do anything but walk around with the 960 and act like hes workin it took him all day to do 10 price changes how hard is that notttt loland about the csm one did u take the test i heard there was a test to take . but anyways everyone bitches about walmart some can leave some cant but atleast we have a place that we can come and talk or atleast type it out and get it out of our system ty 4 listen jax. flo
I work in a distribution center and I am a white female. the ones who get away with everything, including sitting in the recieving office and circling the quantities on the inventory report instead of actually checking the right way and putting in th enumbers in the scanner instead of actually taking down the cases and checking for real are the ones who get to go home early, get to stand around and talk and nobody does anything while those of us who do our job the right way get sent from the freezer to the dry side to check one thing, then back to the meat room then to the dry side (85degrees) to go into hot trailers while 5 people sit in the office and others get to go early. By the way, I do not have one mark on my PTL and in 3 1/2 years of employment have had only one Step 1.. it is about popularity and the fear of being turned into home office for racial discrimination.
I feel the same as the lot of you , but saying you would be a better candidate for the job in this blog and stateing that your smarter and more qualified while at the same time spelling completely wrong , talking in your writeing like a drunk cave man would to his bigfoot date; If your going to complain about it being "stupid", or "unfair" SPELL IT RIGHT!! or just keep at it and show them that only ppl not schooled right complaine.

how about they pull the dept manager over chemicals and make her support manager over automotive because when she was denied the job for lack of experience she called home office and complained so they give her the job she knows nothing about automotive and has to much pride to learn now she is trying to ger rid of associates that have been there 20 years, complaint after complaint has been made against her from associate meetings with the dm begging for a transfer to customers this is the worst automotive has ever been not to mention our assistant trasfered a month ago so we still don't have one and what is our response we hear give a person enough rope and they will hang theirself going on six months now don't guess she has hhung herself but she sure has hung our automotive and all the associates that work there

We have racial discrimination with ALL races at my store, not to mention age discrimination, sexual orientation and god forbid are you in school cause they will schedule you to work WHILE youre in school. There are 2 support managers that truely care and KNOWS that if there is only one person working in a department its not going to be perfect. Those two tell us to do our best cause they know its hard to keep up with the messes customers make. Store manager fired a cashier cause he considered her "too friendly" Towards customers. My department manager I really feel for cause they don't schedule anyone to help during the day and she is expected to work Not only the back bins BUT also the floor as well. People with families don't expect much time with them cause the schedule will make sure of it. Everyone at work complains about what all is going on when we are in the break room BUT they are also scared to say anything cause they dont want to lose their job. Besides no one listens anyways so why bother? If the word Union is mentioned anywhere near upper management they start treating you like youre some kind of traitor. We all know something needs to be done but WHAT?! So many associates are now medicated for depression and god knows what else just to keep going cause they cant take a chance at looking for another job and not be sure if that job would work out long term. We feel like prisoners there and some of us are on "death row" cause we don't kiss butt or flirt with management. To think that long ago Sam Walton started this company as a simple mom and pop shop that truly cared about its employees and community and now years later...Walmart is all about the money that can be made for the CEOs and major stock holders. How many of us started working there for a measly 6 or 7 dollars an hour, working long and odd hours (That wasn't on your availability sheet), with no insurance or incentives, and although you work your tail off, you have nothing to show for it cause the every two week paycheck goes towards bills, food and gas so you CAN get to work?
At my walmart overnights assistant managers are having affairs with support managers or other employees, the open door is really open because everybody knows what happens in the office...Whitehall Wal-mart is racist and everybody always uses the n word...is funny how the two overnights assistants are in a D day...the lady support manager we have runs the show with a lot of disrespect and the others just follow because they are not professionals enough to do or say anything...
please help-I have been at walmart for 5 days now, never worked retail, and am suppose to already be on the cash register by myself. I am terrified. Should I just quit now because i know this isnt going to work. The employees and management are all rude. Nobody wants to train you and forget breaks and lunch/dinner
All I can say is that I have worked at one of the Oklahoma Stores for about 6 months now I want to leave so badly. I am in chemical side of the store well during are last ice storm all cart pushers called in well they "asked" me to go help and by asking I mean they told me to go outside an get carts. Well the quicart machine was down due to the ice and snow. So I had to push them in by hand which I was able to push in about 4 at a time. After I had been out there for likr 3 hours I finally was able to go inside were I was met with a chew out from my AM asking were I was and why I was not in my area. I tryed to explain to them that I was helping outside yet I was threated with a coaching if it happens again. I think it's bullshit that I do a job that is not even mine an yet I don't get a "good job" or a "thanks" last time I help this god forsaken company.

when i was gainfully employed by walmart at store#2292,i was in the store managers`office and spootted a memo.it was actually a questioneer for store managers asking racially charged questions like:how of your customers are black,mexican,chinese,hindu etc.is market management in the practice of racially profiling it`s customer base?i think so,if they are going to waste walmart`s time asking if not telling their store managers to racially profile their customer base.what do you think??
in my store 2981 in keller tx the open door is a trap meaning the managers are all in clicks they tel your issues to other assosiates they click with not good
If you can work anywhere dont work at walmart. They treat people bad. Never know if you will have a job at the end of the day. They are all the same. I worked in Rockford illinois I was so unhappy there I had headaches so bad couldnt sleep. But if you one that doesnt care about your job then you will be fine. I got fired 4 days after they said they found day old in my dept. So unemployment is fighting still its been sice may. Hope they get a union or something get rid of those lazy managers including the store who just walks around looking mad at everyone..good luck

I moved up in the company they made me a department mananger I was over 4/8/13/2/46 at 9:40 an hour I didnt complain took the job third was so bad I just had too!On the way to work on the second day on the job I was in a major wreck in front of the store. I was rushed to the hospital. I had broken my foot! As I told walmart what had happen all they concern about when I be back. The dr. I had, told me that he wanted me to take it easy an didnt want me to bear any weight on my foot with that injury an they also put me out until Jan 20 an I still have to have rehab. Ur just a number at walmart. I would admit we had I would say only two great managers at walmart that worked with you an work with u to help u out but the other managers ran them off. Also it has been hell to get insuriance to pay an walmart dont even want me to use my own time when I saved up all my days they acted like I done everthing wrong Walmart is the most easiest jobs i ever had but the most damn aggraving job cause of the lack of care of managers. Also they look for the little things to get full time job people fired. That way they dont have to pay benefits. When I was on nites they would have me to stock paper chem an infants all in one nite an give u a few min to do it. They fired this one lady for falling on ladder an she injured her back. But then we have this man who has been know to say he get hurt but gets payed buy sleeping on a bench all nite an u can hear him snore all over the store. But he done this 3 times in two years an he 400lbs said he got hurt an has walmart wrap around his finger. Been doing this for 2 years now. but then they fired this one skinny woman who put her on a very heavy aisle an she hurt her back told her they dont have light duty work. When the dr released her they put her on the sugar aisle an fired her because she didnt beat her time.I just dont understand
I work In a Walmart TLE were there is only 3 tech to run the shop 7 days a week and they still cut r hours back wtf and every time u ask them about getting more all they say is we have recs open or I'll get back ro I and never do

instead of all of us blaming work on other shifts we need to blame the problem on who is really at falt. the company itself for not enough help
